The mission of the SOMA Chamber of Commerce is to promote and strengthen the business community through goals and programs that encourage the entrepreneurial spirit and foster a positive image of our community.

A Chamber has been defined as “People working together to make their community a better place to live and make a living.” It is truly an organization dedicated to improving the quality of life for all the citizens of the area.

The SOMA Chamber of Commerce was formed to meet the needs of the community. It is a voluntary organization of individuals and businesses that have joined together to advance the commercial, economic, industrial and civic interests of Maplewood and South Orange.

Chamber membership is open to any firm or individual sharing a common interest in the well-being of the Maplewood and South Orange community.
